The Yard, which will feature in next week's Berlinale Forum, has won an award at this year's Gothenburg International Film Festival. The award is handed out each year to producers for their outstanding current productions.

The jury's motivation: The award goes to a producer who demonstrates a lot of courage and a strong intuition above the ordinary. In a well executed and consistent film with a strong internal drive, the harsh reality is portrayed with a unique artistic expression that blooms into poetry.
The winner of the Lorens Award 2016 is: Emma Åkesdotter Ronge, for Yarden

THE YARD, a compelling Swedish drama about a fallen poet lost in the mundane world of unskilled work, is to feature at this year’s Berlinale in the Forum Section (see screenings below). This follows its selection as opening film in Gothenburg (selected in the Dragon Awards Competition).
