'ROBIN' OPENS IN CANNES

 The Yellow Affair is premiering the intriguing mystery thriller ROBIN in Cannes. STRAWBERRY DAYS MARKET SCREENING EFM

 Following on from his success with THE SARNOS – A LIFE IN DIRTY MOVIES documentary, Wiktor Ericsson directs his first fiction feature STRAWBERRY DAYS. The film -  essentially a coming-of-age, culture-clash love story - is beautifully cinematic, and topically back-dropped by social political issues surrounding the exploitation of cheap labor within Europe. STRAWBERRY DAYS will have its market premiere screening in Berlin.

The Yellow Affair represents Depardieu in BACH biopic

 The life of Johan Sebastian Bach, simply entitled BACH, is being prepared for the big screen, and will go into production in 2017. The story of Bach, tagged ‘Orphan, Convict, Rebel, Genius’, will be brought to life by director Eric Styles (That Good Night, Legendary) and the production is attracting a host of prominent actors. Already attached are Gérard Depardieu, Max Von Sydow, Axel Milberg and Marianne Sagebrecht. The Production team is in discussions with high profile actors and the lead role of Bach is still to be confirmed. BACH is also backed by an outstanding Academy Award winning crew.

BRIAN COX in ‘THE CARER’ & ‘THE MINE’ AT EDINBURGH IFF (click here)

 THE CARER, starring Brian Cox, Emiia Fox and Anna Chancellor, is having its UK premiere in the ‘Best of British’ section of this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival. THE CARER has been picked up for distribution in UK  by Cinefile, who will be releasing the film theatrically throughout the UK and Ireland following the Edinburgh premiere. In addition to THE CARER, The Yellow Affair is also proud to announce THE MINE, featuring at Edinburgh as a part of this year’s Finnish film focus.

 Malin Buska, for her role as Queen Kristina in Mika Kaurismäki's film THE GIRL KING, has won the Best Actress Award at The 39th World Film Festival in Montreal. THE GIRL KING, upon its world premiere in Montreal, also won the Audience Award for Most Popular Film.
